Reopened in October 2023 following purchase by the Valiant Pub Company. Internally it is little changed other than a thorough redecoration and new furnishings so we have a single long split-level bar, with the counter dominating the top portion. The cellar bar has recently been repurposed as a games area. Barnsley CAMRA Pub of the Year winner from 2012 to 2015 and again in 2020. Winter Pub of the Season 2017/18 plus many regional CAMRA awards.
