Set amidst bluebell woods, this peaceful country pub attracts a diverse clientele. The small, busy bar dates from a bygone age, with scrubbed wooden tables, quarry tiles and an open fire. There's a small snug behind the bar. The larger lounge and barn-conversion restaurant are more contemporary and comfortable. A splendidly simple beer garden is popular in fine weather, and the pub offers a well equipped camping and caravanning site.
