The Fox & Goose Inn is a 400 year old coach house on the old London - Manchester main road. Some original features are still evident in the main bar and local rumour is that the pub is haunted by an 18th Century Innkeeper. In the early 1990's the Wilson family added a function suite in keeping with the original structure that can accommodate upto 100 people for a sit-down meal and upto 200 people for an evening reception or party. There is also an area of the grounds purpose built to house marquees for larger functions.
