One of several pubs near the Market Square. Following the retirement of long time licensees in early 2026, the pub is now run by a long standing member of their staff.

Within, it consists of two separate but connected bars. Live music features on occasions and it is popular for food.

Three handpumps serve beers from the likes of Weetwood, Salopian, Spitting Feathers and Monty's Breweries.
