Having been closed for fourteen months, the Horse & Jockey reopened under community ownership on 20/12/2023. The interior has one bar divided into five areas including a pool room, a snug where the fire is and what will be a dining area when food is introduced in 2024. It is comfortably furnished with a variety of seating. At the rear is a decked patio and large carpark.

Food and the restaurant area commenced on 10/8/24. An extensive menu is served, see website for details.

The pub closed in Sep 2022 due to rising energy and living costs. The pub was purchased in Dec 2023 by The Horse and Jockey Community Pub Limited (a community benefit society), following months of fundraising and a government grant. More than 85 local villagers and supporters hold shares in the pub. The pub reopened on 20 Dec 2023.
