A genuine, traditional local in the heart of the city. The small frontage of the original three-roomed pub hides an open plan interior extended to the rear with a gallery seating area. After a recent refurbishment the small beer garden to the rear has been enlarged. Nine hand pumps on the bar offer mostly well know brands such as Ossett White Rat, Theakston Old Peculier and Titanic Plum Porter, plus local favourite Bradfield Farmer's Blonde. Meals are served daily. The popular quiz is held Thursday night, there is occasional live music (see Facebook) and open mic sessions on alternate Mondays. An upstairs function room is available for bookings.
This Pub serves 3 changing beers (Usually one dark beer, one bitter and one pale. Recent examples include Theakston Old Peculier, Kirkstall Three Swords and Timothy Taylor Landlord.) and 4 regular beers.
