Originally a house and then an inn by 1930, this comfortable, traditional-looking pub is divided into a number of small areas in a rambling interior over different levels. There is a small bar area and a large outdoor terrace with fine views. Popular with walkers on Boars Hill. At one time a Greenall Whitley pub. Under new ownership and management several times. Refurbished early 2022. Closed again. Reopened June 2024 and refurbished again November 2025.
