This is an independent self-styled gastro pub & restaurant serving delicious local produce in an idyllic country setting, only minutes away from Newport Wetlands. Weekly activities include open mic night on Wednesday, and a quiz on Thursday (8.30pm). Note there is a demand response transport (DRT) bus service which needs to be pre-booked via Newport Bus.

Rumours of this pub's pending demise reported early in 2025 appear to have been premature, with the place still going strong.

Historic Interest

According to the late local historian, Fred Hando, in his 1958 book 'Out and About in Monmouthshire', 'The inn is known variously as the Farmers' Arms, the Dealers' Den and the Glupot'.
