A popular and friendly country pub, restaurant and entertainment centre set deep in the Devon countryside, just a short distance from Crediton. It offers a superb range of facilities and activities for the local community, visitors on holiday and business people alike. Families are well catered for, with indoor and outdoor safe play areas for children. Accommodation is offered in a range of self-catering cottages in the grounds, as well as en-suite rooms for bed and breakfast. Good-quality food is served lunchtimes and evenings Monday to Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday and school holidays. All the cask ales are served on gravity from a separate room behind the bar. The handpumps are not in use and are there only to display pump clips of the various ales on offer. The 1 or 2 changing beers are chosen from Devon breweries such as Teignworthy, Bays, Exeter or Taw Valley and some interesting bottled beers are on offer. Ciders are from Sandford Orchards and Sam's.
