A large sports bar popular with locals and students. Its name is a reference to its location being very close to the city’s Crown Court & Guildhall. It is approached by a large flight of steps, with disabled lift access to the right. The pub has one large airy room, with the bar on the right-hand side and several seating combinations. There are lots of TV screens throughout the room showing sports. The front outside seating area is well used in summer, with a covered smoking area. Live music is staged on Saturday nights.

There is a flight of nine steps to get onto the front terrace from the pavement. There is also an external lift from pavement level on the right-hand side of the terrace, but a sign on pavement side says it must operated by staff, so contacting the pub in advance is advised. It is step free throughout most of the inside with just two raised areas, including the pool table at back. An accessible toilet is in the toilet corridor towards the rear.
