Historic black-and-white timbered pub nestled in the village centre, facing St. Michael’s Church. Dating back to around 1650 as a drovers’ inn, it boasts original beams and settles. Initially smaller, it expanded over time, with the right-hand room once serving as a butcher’s shop. The pub thrives in summer, drawing visitors from the nearby caravan site. Its landlord of over 30 years, is a treasure trove of local history. Ask him about the curious tale of a tramp who once visited. Note: the pub is closed in January
