One of many popular pubs on King Street, the Volley offers customers around 35 beers and ciders from local and independent brewers, up to seven of them on cask, available in third, half, two thirds or pint measures. Check the beer board beside the bar as pump clips are not displayed. Keep warm in front of the snug fireplace in winter, or cool(er) on the sun-trap roof terrace or street-level benches in summer. Quality food is available in the bar or the slightly more formal room adjacent. Sport is often shown on the TVs in the pub, although the building is big enough to avoid the match if desired. Disabled access at rear, and ground floor accessible toilet.
