A back street locals pub just off the main bus route. Large bar with pool table and TV showing sports (not Sky) with separate seating areas plus a smaller cosy lounge. There are three regular and up to six guest ales many of which are from micro breweries, specialising in Northern beers. Real cider also sold. Baguettes available in the evenings; hot sandwiches and chips are available at weekends. The enclosed rear garden is ideal for smokers and sun worshippers.
