Located away from the town centre , in the middle of Padgate village shops, this large community-focussed pub remains full of character and has not been made open plan as many town centre pubs. It is also one of a few pubs still to retain its bowling green outside at the back. Regular activity consists of live bands on a Saturday, karaoke and quiz nights on Tuesday. Most events are focussed on raising funds for various charities. Awarded 'Best Community Pub 2026' by Greene King. No real ale.
