Micropub conversion from a previous retail business on the main shopping street. Opened on 27th December 2024 to over 18s only, three changing cask ales introduced during 2025 and now with eight craft keg lines on the wall.

On the site of the former Marshall & Sons Zoo Gardens, whose performing bear gave the pub its name.
