Large privately-owned free-house with semi open-plan interior featuring linked rooms around a central bar counter with a basic bar'area, a step down to a smart lounge, and a step up to a designated dining area. There is also a small secluded snug behind the bar and a hallway leads to the darts room.

Home-cooked food, a la carte plus specials, with a separate Sunday lunch menu, plus a children's menu.

Outdoor drinking on patio at rear, and on lawn, both with picnic tables. There is also a patio, with more formal tables and chairs, for al fresco dining in summer.

The pub has a shop and takeaway cafe, The Cow Shed, open during the day at weekends.

Historic Interest

Oldest part built mid-19th-century, but subsequently extended in 20th-century. Progressively further extended and substantially renovated by recent owners since early 1990s.
