Historic 16thC black and white pub saved from demolition after a long fight. Reopened August 2023 after nearly 5 years closed and an extensive refurbishment, run by and for the community as a local hub. The cask ales include at least one from a local brewery and normally consist of a blonde, a bitter and a dark ale. Winner of a CAMRA ‘Highly Commended’ Pub Saving Award for 2023.

Community Run

The Raven Inn was put up for sale in 2019 for demolition and redevelopment. An action group was set up to save the pub, and they later registered a community benefit society (CBS), the Raven Inn Community Benefit Society Limited. The CBS has now leased the pub and runs it.
