This small franchised Wetherspoon opened in July 2026 in what was formerly a Surrey University Campus bar, Wates House. It is situated on the 1st floor and offers an outside balcony area with seating.

The pub takes its name from Sir Ronald Wates (1907–86), whose family funded the original building.
